Also called Cracked wheat, bulgar wheat comes from the whole grain of wheat which is crushed and par boiled. It has a delicious nutty flavour and is a great alternative to rice and pasta. Why not try using it instead of cous cous for a lovely salad with roasted vegetables and fresh herbs?
Simply pour 2 parts boiling water onto 1 part dry bulgar wheat and allow to stand for 15 minutes. Drain and serve.Ingredients
