Prunes are the dried version of plums. They have a lovely strong, sweet and distinctive taste and can be enjoyed as a snack, in home baking, or stewed along with custard or Greek yogurt.
To soak, simply pour on boiling water and let stand for 30 minutes. No need to soak overnight, or simmer in a pan.
